A Brewery Exclusive

With no idea on how Concrete Beach Brewery came up with the name for “Mise en Place”, I fired up the good-old Google machine and discovered the meaning but also that the phrase has its own Wikipedia page.

According to Wikipedia, Mise en place (French pronunciation: ​[mi zɑ̃ ˈplas]) is a French culinary phrase which means "putting in place" or "everything in its place."   It continues to say that, in the kitchen, the phrase is used as a noun (i.e., the setup of the array of ingredients), a verb (i.e., the process of preparing) and a state of mind.

This golden-straw colored beer is a Grisette-style table beer rooted in Belgium, but brewed for Miami. It is very sessionable at 4.3% ABV and 12 IBU’s.  

Pours with a thick head. The flavor is a little bready with faint lemon notes and the grass/herba finish that you’d expect with a farmhouse ale.

Mise en Place is a very drinkable ale that is perfect for a hot Miami afternoon by the pool or crushing after cutting the yard.

Whoever came up with the name for this beer nailed it!  One sip and you’ll agree that CCB’s Mise en Place qualifies as not only the noun, the verb but also the state of mind with this one.  Every facet of this one is right where it belongs.
