I recently asked Kevin from Bootlegger if he was interested in doing a guest review. Not only did he agree to do it, he picked a beer that just became available in parts of Florida. Check out....

The oldest and largest craft beer brewery in Texas, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, has begun distributing to Florida. Today I thought I would give you a brief review of one of its flagship brews, Elissa IPA.

Elissa IPA is as pure a craft beer as you will find, having no additives or preservatives. Saint Arnold believes very strongly in maintaining the freshest flavor possible, and therefore it does not pasteurize any of its beer. Because of this, Elissa and other Saint Arnold beers are recommended to be stored cold, and that is why Saint Arnold will deliver craft beer to Florida on refrigerated trucks.

Elissa is a traditional IPA with a well-balanced mouth feel from British malt and hoppy floral bitterness. However, it is not a hop bomb and Saint Arnold uses a single hop variety, Cascades, to deliver a rich and flavorful beer that avoids the harshness of other IPAs.

As a former Silver Medalist at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup, Elissa is a traditional India Pale Ale (IPA) that pairs well with seafood, and at 6.6% ABV you can enjoy more than one with your meal.

Other Saint Arnold craft beers will be making their way to Florida along with Elissa. I believe you will enjoy the Saint Arnold craft beers and hope that you will seek them out. Also, please consider using the Bootlegger Nation mobile application to let others know where you find Saint Arnold or any of the other hundreds of craft beers available in your community.

Bootlegger is a community-led craft beer locator that helps people find and share craft beer sold at neighborhood retail locations. The Bootlegger mobile application is available for free for iPhone and Android devices.
