Craft Beer Cartel Launches Monthly Home Brew Classes with In House Brewer Jonathan Jackman.

Craft Beer Cartel, Fort Lauderdale’s first Home Brew Supply and Bottle Shop, will launch their new monthly Home Brewing class on Saturday February 28th from 1pm to 4pm. Lead by Jonathan “Jack” Jackman, the class will introduce aspiring brewers to brewing ingredients, the process of making a half mash brew, and different essentials to the brewing process. Each month will focus on a different type of beer, starting with a Pale Ale on the 28th.

Instructor, Jonathan Jackman, was introduced to craft beer and home brewing by a friend at work in 2008.  He moved to Miami in 2011 and obtained a job managing the Funky Buddha Home brew store and as a brewing assistant at the Funky Buddha Lounge. While working at the Lounge and Home brew location he also began working at the new Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park as an assistant brewer and cellerman.  This became full time until his departure in May 2014 when he moved out of Florida only to return in November 2014 to Riverside Market and the Craft Beer Cartel.

The class is open to the public, and the $20 entry includes a Craft Beer Cartel T-Shirt, snacks, and beer sampling throughout the day. Craft Beer Cartel is located at 557 SW 12th Avenue Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 and is open 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm.
