Concrete Beach Brewery believes that making great craft beer is an art form. Since every great work of art needs a proper showing, the Wynwood-based brewery has created the Gallery Series, a weeklong series of special beer-tasting events taking place from October 2nd though the 7th at local restaurants and bars across South Florida designed to showcase some of Concrete Beach’s newest and most-imaginative beers. This special week will feature two unique styles brewed specially for the occasion: Sangre de Flor Imperial Porter and Julia American Barleywine.

Sangre de Flor Imperial Chocolate Hibiscus Porter       

Description: This unique beer imparts a beautiful, deep brown, reddish hue. Strong notes of chocolate, brown sugar and dark malts dominate the palate with hints of slightly sweet, floral hibiscus flavor.

Aroma: Chocolate, dark malt
Taste: Chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, hibiscus
Ingredients & Stats:

• Malt:    Pale Ale, White Wheat, Patagonia 190L, Patagonia Chocolate, Six Row
• Hops:  Cascade
• Other Ingredients: Cocoa Powder, Brown Sugar, Hibiscus
• ABV:    8.1% Alc./Vol.
• IBU:     20

Julia American Barleywine

Description: Julia is a strong, dry-hopped barleywine with a deep amber tone. A floral, piney and stone-fruit aroma complement the rich, malt-forward flavor of this behemoth. Notes of toffee, dates and apricots are balanced with pleasant hop bitterness. 

Appearance: Deep amber hue with an off-white head
Aroma: Stone fruits, floral and piney hops
Taste: Balance of malty sweetness and hop bitterness

• Malt:    Maris Otter, Special B, Caramunich, Munich Type II
• Hops:  Warrior, Centennial, Chinook, Northern Brewer
• ABV:    9.0% Alc./Vol
• IBU:     55
• Yeast:  BSI 1
