Join Lake Tribe Brewing on Saturday, August 26th as they tap into the first 3 barrel aged wild ales of their Wildwoods Project, a flavor experiment in barrel aged wild ales.
Like a snowball that just keeps rolling downhill, Lake Tribe’s Wildwoods Project started back in March as a refining the recipe for a barrel aged sour concept brew that they had on a secret tap last year, only available to those who found out about it by word of mouth. Just like any good idea, that evolved into a research study, and at this point has turned into an all-out flavor experiment in barrel aged wild ales involving:
- 6 wild ales
- 6 barrels
- 2 species of oak
- 4 different barrel rinses
- 3 months of slow aging
The three barrels that they are tapping on August 26th contain:
- Boss's Bourbon Barrel Sour - A wild ale brewed with cherries & aged in a bourbon barrel
- Casa’Blanc’a - A wild ale brewed with white grapes & aged in a French oak cabernet sauvignon barrel
- Fla'mango' - A wild ale brewed w/ mangos, peaches, & aged in a bourbon barrel
The day’s festivities are going to include:
- 3 barrel aged wild ale releases
- Special brewery tour focusing on the 'Wildwoods Project'
- Limited 22oz. bomber release of each brew
- Live music from Frank Jones Band
- Scrumptious BBQ from Big Papi's Barbecue
This is one event that you are not going to want to miss!
