Rochester Mills Production Brewery has announced it has begun distributing select beers from its portfolio in the Sarasota and Tampa markets.

Pepin Distributing Company has announced that Spencer Trappist Ale will be available in Tampa Bay beginning March 3rd, 2015.

bellsCavalier Distributing of Florida, based in Lakeland, will now handle distribution of Bell’s beer in south Florida. 

This new distribution partnership covers Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Monroe counties.

While there may be some short term disruptions as shipping begins, Bell’s and Cavalier will be working very hard to minimize them as much as possible.

Bell’s distributes more than 20 different beers, including Oberon Ale, which is brewed year round for distribution in Florida as well as in Arizona, southern California, southern Alabama and Puerto Rico.

Bell's Brewery, Inc. began in 1985 with a quest for better beer and a 15 gallon soup kettle. Since then, they've grown into a regional craft brewery that employs more than 330 people over a 20 state area, in addition to Puerto Rico and Washington DC. Chicago-based craft brewery Berghoff Brewery announced plans to expand distribution of their line of craft beers to the Florida market for the first time. Partnering with Cavalier Distributing, the beers will become available throughout Florida.

We recently attended an event at the Sidebar on Calle Ocho for the Afrohead Premium Aged Dark Rum Launch party. The event had good live music, lively attendance and a showcased Afrohead Rum , a surprisingly nice dark seven year rum produced by a Bahamian company called Harbour Island Rum.
